Bonnie Van Voorst is a painter from Tampa, FL. She studied
at USF, where she graduated with a degree in Studio Art
with a concentration in drawing and painting. She works in
water media, oils, and acrylic, but has learned to enjoy the
immediacy of acrylic, and has enjoyed exploring how to
manipulate and work within its particularities and limitations.
Bonnie considers herself an abstract painter, gravitating
towards texture, line, and composition, but above all, to color, to convey
narrative, emotion, or hard-to-visualize, less concrete
ideas.
